Kamiakin High School’s Darreon Moore, right, evades Southridge’s Logan Grigg (18) during Thursday night’s Mid-Columbia Conference game at Lampson Stadium in Kennewick. The Braves won 50-10.

Zach Borisch threw for 247 yards and two touchdowns to lead Kamiakin to a 50-10 Mid-Columbia Conference victory Thursday over Southridge at Lampson Stadium.

The win gives the Braves (7-2, 5-2 MCC) the top 3A seed into the playoffs and will host the No. 3 team from the Greater St. Helens League next week.

The Suns (5-4, 4-3) will host Shadle Park on Tuesday to determine a play-in berth. The winner will travel to take on the top seed from the KingCo either Nov. 4 or 5.

Kamiakin wasted no time in taking control of the game as Darreon Moore caught a 51-yard touchdown pass from Borisch midway through the first quarter.

After a Hunter Spiva 30-yard field goal put Southridge on the board, Borisch went back to the air, this time connecting with Isaiah Brimmer on a 41-yard touchdown.

The Suns would score early in the second to pull within 14-10, but it was all Kamiakin from there, including touchdown runs of 2, 12 and 17 yards by Jethro Questad.

Questad finished with 125 yards on 14 carries.

Zayid Al-Ghani led the Suns with 73 yards on 22 carries, while Brycen Kelly caught two passes for 87 yards and a touchdown.
